We are committed to making the Lifestyles website accessible to as many people as possible.
Last updated · 17 May 2026
We aim to make the Lifestyles website usable by everyone — including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or browser zoom.
Our target is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 to AA level.
We build the site with semantic HTML, sensible heading order, descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and visible focus styles for keyboard navigation.
We test the site on common browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and on mobile, desktop and tablet viewports. Colour contrast is tested against WCAG 2.1 AA thresholds.
We are aware that some sections of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. The most likely areas of concern are:
Several photographs used in the hero sections were generated for illustrative purposes — they have descriptive alternative text but will be replaced with real photography over time.
Some interactive cards may not yet meet 44×44 px touch-target size on the smallest viewports.
We are working to address these limitations on an ongoing basis.
If you encounter any accessibility barriers using this website, we want to hear about it. Email Brian.Wells@lifestylesresidentialservices.co.uk with a short description of the page and the difficulty.
We aim to respond within five working days.
The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland is responsible for enforcing accessibility requirements. If you are dissatisfied with our response to your accessibility feedback, you can contact the Commission.
